You’ll see them in use on steak knives, chef knives, butcher knives, traditional hunting knives, and many others. They work very well for cutlery repair and new handle creation.
- Head Material = (2) Nickel Silver | Head Diameter = 0.250 in. (ea.) | Head Length = 0.20 in. (ea.) | Loveless Fasteners are used to fasten a set of handle scales on to the tang of a knife or tool. They work by passing through the handle tang and handle material layers and creating a “pinch” effect. Loveless Fasteners feature differential head and threaded rod diameters. This creates the “pinch point” when used with a “stepped” pre-drilled hole.
- Screw Material = (1) Brass | Thread Diameter = 0.135 in. | Thread = US 6-32 | Length (Under Head) = 1.15 in. | Loveless Fasteners can be sanded off like normal pin stock to create a seamless transition between handle material and fastener. When sanded flush with the handle material, they can create a beautiful visual contrast. Loveless Fasteners can be used with any type of handle material, with or without spacer material layers. They also work well for knife and tool repair.
