Luber-finer PCV valves optimize the fuel economy delivered by increasing engine output. The valves are designed to reprocess still usable forms of fuel exhaust gases and extract more engine power, thus improving mileage. Overextending the part's service promotes sludge formation, which clogs the engine's interior surfaces and promotes condensation of corrosive acids that greatly contributes to engine wear.
