Turn off icemaker and remove old filter by rotating cap about 1/4 turn counter-clockwise 2. Pull the old filter cartridge out and remove the cartridge grille cap by sliding it off the end of the old cartridge 3. Slide the cartridge grille cap onto the new cartridge and with the new cartridge cap in the vertical position, insert the new filter cartridge into the base grille 4. Rotate the cap clockwise to a horizontal position and turn on the ice maker 5. Flush new cartridge by dispensing water for about 5 minutes. Your refrigerator manufacturer recommends dispensing at least 2 gallons of water to remove trapped air from the water line and discharging any loose charcoal sediment. 6. If your refrigerator is equipped with a water filter indicator light, press and hold the “Filter†or “Reset†button for 5 seconds or longer. (Reset procedures may vary, see your refrigerator manufacturer’s website for model specific reset instructions.)
