- THE STAND-UP PEX STAPLER BUILT FOR IN-FLOOR RADIANT HEAT INSTALLATIONS: The Malco FBSN lets you secure PEX tubing to foamboard insulation from a comfortable standing position; no bending, no kneeling, no knee pads required. Whether you're running 500 feet or 6,000 feet of tubing across a slab, the FBSN turns an exhausting job into a rhythm you can maintain all day.
- FITS 3/8", 1/2" & 5/8" PEX ON 1-INCH AND 2-INCH FOAMBOARD: Malco's exclusive dual-barbed plastic foamboard staples accommodate all three common PEX sizes and work with both 1-inch foamboard (use FBSN1 staples, 1-1/2") and 2-inch foamboard (use FBSN2 staples, 2-1/2"). Compatible with most other foamboard stapling systems. Not for use on EPS-type foamboard.
- PATENT-PENDING NON-JAMMING LEAF SPRING FEED SYSTEM: A leaf spring-controlled stop automatically adjusts to seat each staple and guide it through the fastening mechanism without jamming or deforming. Magazine loading strips of 25 staples are joined by discreet micro-welds that separate cleanly as each staple engages and delivers a smooth, uninterrupted feed from first staple to last.
- ERGONOMIC IN-LINE D-GRIP HANDLE FOR ALL-DAY COMFORT: The D-grip handle is precisely positioned to align your hand and wrist for clean downward pressure on every stroke reducing fatigue on large radiant heat installs that can run thousands of feet. The retractable wire-form stand keeps the stapler upright and spill-proof during reloads so you're never chasing spilled staples across the subfloor.
- CONVERT TO WOOD SUBFLOOR STAPLING WITH THE PWSK1 KIT (SOLD SEPARATELY): The FBSN isn't limited to foamboard. Add the PWSK1 conversion kit to use PWS2 staples for securing PEX directly to a wooden subfloor. One tool, two installation methods. Pairs with Malco dual-barbed staples (FBSN1, FBSN2, FBS1BX, FBS2BX) for maximum holding power and pull-out resistance.
For in-floor radiant heating installations. This easy-loading manual stapler, with magazine feed, operates from a standing position to quickly and easily secure a layout of PEX pipe (polyethylene cross-linked tubing) to a foamboard base. Malco's efficient, ergonomic, stapler design offers maximum control for comfortable one-handed, one-stroke staple insertion. The stapler head holds the PEX in place as staples are fed, via a non-stick polymer slide, to the plunger assembly. A leaf-spring controlled stop sets up each staple to avoid risk of deforming connections or jamming the stapler. The durable, lightweight magazine slide is made of a solid, one-piece engineered-polymer which balances the tool by directing the weight over the stapler head. An in-line D-grip correctly positions the user's hand and wrist for applying downward pressure while stapling, and when lifting and moving the tool. Exclusive Malco plastic foamboard staple designs accommodate 3/8, 1/2 or 5/8-in. (9.5, 2.7 or 15.1 mm) PEX and feature dual barbs for increased bite and holding power. These staples are also compatible with most other foamboard stapling systems. Malco 1-1/2 inch (38.1 mm) staples are designed for 1 inch (25.4 mm) foamboard. Additional barbs on 2-1/2 inch (63.5 mm) staples "double the holding power" in 2 inch (50.8 mm) foamboard. Discreet micro welds on the 25-piece staple loading strips separate cleanly as they are engaged in the stapler mechanism, and a staple weight added to the magazine slide ensures a smooth steady feed for uninterrupted stapling. A retractable wire-form stand allows the stapler to remain upright and spill-proof when not in use or when reloading staples.
