Margaret Whiting's Great Hits

Margaret Whiting scored major hits in the 1940s, and in 1959 was invited to re-record 12 of her
Top 20 hits in stereo. They are contained here, available on CD for the first time, as well as some
contemporary hits of the day. Included are her chart-toppers and million sellers A Tree In The
Meadow and Slippin Around plus Now Is The Hour and Far Away Places, both of which
reached #2 in the charts. The three bonus tracks at the end are private recordings, made by Whiting
with her regular pianist Walter Gross, never before issued.
