WHAT IT IS:
Salicylic acid is a BHA that exfoliates skin and can improve its texture and color. It also helps with acne and acne scarring.

WHAT IT IS FORMULATED TO DO:
Salicylic acid works by softening keratin, a protein that forms part of the skin structure. This helps to loosen dry scaly skin making it easier to remove. In acne, topical salicylic acid helps slow down shedding of the cells inside the follicles, preventing clogging.

FOR BEST RESULTS:
Before Your Peel
For best results, prep the skin for a week prior to peel application with the salicylic 2% daily exfoliator. We strongly recommend conducting a patch test 3 days before applying a peel to ensure no negative or unusual reactions occur.

After Your Peel
Generously apply Daily Collagen Complex, Hyaluronic Serum Squalane as needed for tight, dry skin. Use a minimum of broad spectrum SPF 30 every day to protect healing skin. Begin using a daily exfoliator in between peels for long lasting results.

DOWNTIME:
Mild - The Salicylic 10% peel will have little to no downtime. During the application you may experience slight redness and burning but will subside after application. You may see some light peeling/flaking starting on day 4 or 5 and can last approximately 4-7 days.
