- TRADITIONAL STYLE: the gourd-shaped body and beaded net are modeled after traditional cabasa rattles; it has a strong similarity to the African shekere
- WHY IT MATTERS: it produces an authentic and filling rattle effect that's used in African and Latin American dance music; plus, it's traditional design looks great on stage or on display in your studio
- HOW IT WORKS: rub, shake, spin, and tap the beaded net, or spin the body under the net to get different sounds; the net is adjustable for a tight or loose response with its drawstring toggle
- ONE BIG THING: this cabasa is 100% weatherproof to stand up to the elements outside as well as heavy touring; it's made with a premium fiberglass body, durable synthetic beads, and a strong braided nylon net
- OF NOTE: the fiberglass build has outstanding projection and picks up where natural hollow gourds leave off in volume; get crisp, raspy percussive notes that fill the space
