Description
- HAND HAMMERED SURFACE: Meinl Hammered Cowbells get their sound shaped by hand hammering the steel; you can see craters on the surface, and this hammering brings out dark undertones with a lower pitch
- WHY IT MATTERS: you’ll get an extra-dark punch that lifts your grooves with deep sound; this bell’s frequencies sit lower than most traditional (non-hammered) cowbells
- DRIVING THE SOUND: made with a special steel alloy that produces a clear-cutting attack note with medium sustain that fills the space
- ONE BIG THING: you can mount this cowbell to easily position in your setup; its 3/8” eye bolt tightens down fast on a cymbal stand or percussion rod with a secure hold that stays in place
- OF NOTE: you can change the sustain with Meinl’s Cowbell Cushion, Drum Honey, or Magnetic Cymbal Tuners (each sold separately); these accessories dampen overtones and ring for an old-school cowbell tone
- BY THE NUMBERS: this cowbell measures 8” L (not including mount) and produces a low pitch; the pitch gets lower as length and mouth size increases
