The Michelin Pro4 Endurance Clincher Tire steps in to provide exceptional flat protection and durability to power long endurance road races or tackle all those off-season base miles. The Pro4 Endurance is the marathon runner of Michelin's Pro4 lineup, built to churn out the miles with grit and perseverance. Featuring a high-density HDProtection belt across the entire casing, the Pro4 has a claimed additional 40% flat resistance compared to competitors. Of course, the especially pernicious bits of road detritus (goat heads, staples, and virtually anything when it's raining) that will still puncture that belt; however, those same malfeasants will also flat harder, less forgiving tires. The Pro4 Endurance balances puncture resistance with road feel as well as almost any endurance tire we've ridden. Michelin knows that we don't just want a tire that reduces flats. We also want it to go fast. While the advanced protection brings with it a smidgeon more weight compared to the Pro4 Service Course, these tires still clock in at an acceptable weight for getting up climbs. Michelin's BiCompound adds to the speed with a more rigid center for high durability, low rolling resistance, and just the right grip for stable braking on dry and wet roads. At the shoulder, a slightly stickier rubber provides extra grip for sweeping through corners regardless of weather.
