- ENHANCED GLOWING EMBER EFFECT – A proprietary blend of rock wool mineral fiber and vermiculite granules creates a richer, more textured ember bed than rock wool alone. The vermiculite adds depth, body, and a natural sparkle wherever the flame makes contact, producing a coal bed that closely resembles a real wood fire.
- PREMIUM MATERIALS, MADE IN THE USA – Crafted from rock wool mineral fiber and commercially processed vermiculite sourced from verified, contaminant-free deposits. Both materials are carefully selected for consistent performance and clean composition — so you know exactly what is going into your fireplace, and what is not.
- COMPATIBLE WITH NATURAL GAS AND PROPANE APPLIANCES – Works with vented gas fireplaces and gas log sets. May also be used with unvented (vent-free) appliances; always follow your appliance manufacturer's instructions for vent-free applications, as requirements vary by unit. Compatible with both NG and LP systems.
- INSTALLER-APPROVED TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS – Pinch small clumps and place near gas ports on the burner pan. Place small amounts on logs where flames will touch for a natural ember glow effect. Do not pack material tightly over gas ports — the flame must breathe freely through the blend. One bag covers an 18 to 24 inch gas log set.
- LONG-LASTING EMBER BED – Mineral fiber and vermiculite both resist extreme temperatures and maintain their appearance with repeated use. For a more natural base layer, pair with Midwest Hearth Lava Rock or Vermiculite. For a simpler ember effect, Midwest Hearth Rock Wool is also available separately.
