The MHRRCM is a protective cover for your remote receiver. The cover is not only attractive, but it also protects the electronics of the receiver from heat generated by your gas fireplace.
Installation Instructions:
Place the MHRRCM onto the remote control receiver. Make sure you have followed the recommended location of the receiver according to the manufacturer's/homeowner's manual. Failure to do so may cause overheating of your receiver and/or reduce the battery life due to the potential for a higher operating temperature. Make sure the insulation is in place and surrounds the remote receiver. Note: Make sure that you do NOT route the reciver wiring near the burner, flame, or other high temperature surface.
*The MHRRCM does not make your receiver heat-proof. If provides additional protection, but you must still properly locate your remote receiver according to your appliance's instructions.
