Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures: ASCE 7-98

This revision of the "ASCE Standard Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures" is a replacement of ASCE 7-95. This Standard provides requirements for dead, live, soil, flood, wind, snow, rain, ice, and earthquake loads, and their combinations that are suitable for inclusion in building codes and other documents. New material and other changes to this revision include: expanded wind loads section; new requirement for flood and ice loads; and improved and updated requirements for snow and earthquake loads. Also included is a detailed commentary on the standard, containing explanatory and supplementary information designed to assist building code committees and regulatory authorities.
