- Range features very good - excellent lightfastness: Mont Marte Premium Oil Paints have a lightfast rating of 6 or above (equivalent to ASTM2). This means that under museum lighting conditions, the pigment will remain unchanged for 50-100 years
- Slower drying time gives you more flexibility to experiment with layering, blending and brush techniques. Touch dry after 3-4 days (completely cures in 6-12 months)
General Usage
Mont Marte 100ml Oil Paints are available in a beautiful range of colours. They feature high quality lightfast pigments and a smooth buttery consistency. Oil paint has a much slower drying time than acrylics allowing the artist to manipulate the paint over several painting sessions and also allows subtle colour blending. Oil Paint dries to a consistent colour whereas acrylics may darken slightly upon drying. Oil paint offers long term durability, resistance to the elements and has been regarded as a fine art medium for hundreds of years. Thin with Oil Mediums such as Linseed Oil. Clean up with Turpentine.
