Mythological Muse: Poems on Hellenic Mythology in Greek and English (The Hellenic Muses)

The poems of the present collection, published in Greek and English on facing pages, are inspired and drawn from the wealth of Hellenic mythology. The Ancient Hellenes, making use of their fertile imagination, were able to create many beautiful myths about the gods and heroes, their passions and actions, and the possible consequences for the lives of mortal men on earth, or even after death in the under-world, the dark kingdom of Hades and Persephone. For more than three thousand years, the Hellenic men of letters have made constant references and comments on the better known myths, which were transmitted from generation to generation via the living and beautiful Hellenic language. This book may be seen as a small contribution to and a continuation of this ancient and honorable Hellenic tradition.
