These chisels are made by a highly respected edge tool manufacturer in the Czech Republic and are of exceptional quality. The blades are made from fine-grained, nicely tempered chrome-manganese steel and hardened to Rc 59. The blades take and hold an excellent edge. The blades are accurately ground and have a slimmer cross section that woodworkers prefer. As with all fine edge tools, they will need sharpening/honing before use. These chisels are an excellent value in a good quality tool. This is Premium 16 piece set contains the following sizes: 3,4,5,6, 8, 10, 12, 14,16, 18, 20, 26, 30, 32, 40 and 50 mm They are ground at a 25 degree bevel. Blades are 4 5/8" inches to 6 1/2" inches long. Handles are stained Hornbeam and 5 1/2" long. Overall sizes range in length from 9 7/8 to 12 inches. Blades have well-seated heavy steel tangs and solid brass ferrules to withstand vigorous mallet work. They do not come in a retail box.
