This particular wool has been specially selected because of it's wiry, water-shedding properties that allow a perfect float cast after cast This specific wool is also bristly and holds it shape. Our New Zealand sheep are bred to produce wool fibers with these properties.
- DESIGNED FOR FLY TYERS - Our Large "Roll Your Own" Bulk Wool Packs are designed for the angler that is comfortable handling fly tying materials. Anglers will need to select the correct amount of wool to fill Regular of X-Large size tubing sleeves. If you are not comfortable handling fly tying materials we recommend our Wool Yarn Spools or Four Color Yarn Dispenser. Having researched many dozens of wool types and synthetics, this particular wool has been specially selected to have the wiry, water-shedding properties that allow a perfect float cast after cast. Our ultimate wool material provides a "no-spook" landing and presentation. It fills the indicator sleeve perfectly and can be trimmed to the size you want. If you are frugal fishermen like we are, you can reuse the wool. The packet contains enough ultimate wool for at least a full season or more. To the careful fisherman - it provides the ultimate solution for a perfect presentation to difficult fish. Even the most "educated" trout will not spook with this indicator material as it provided a natural float from above. Trim size of indicator to meet fishing conditions. Extremely sensitive to strikes - you will see the strike more quickly and more often. This wool has natural lanolin, however, go ahead and add a dab of floatant on it at the beginning of the day. The indicator will float all day. It casts beautifully - with almost no wind resistance!
