ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I just wanted to tell you all a little bit about me. I am a mom just like you, and my children are five and seven years old. I started this book about newborn care as a primer for my own sister, who became pregnant last year. Like a lot of you, she got a bunch of books with a lot of information in them and became really overwhelmed. In fact, she called one night saying that all the books contradicted each other, and why didn't they just get to the point!



I started telling her not to worry, because there were really only a few things that she needed to remember. She kept asking me to write down what I was saying, saying "I can't remember all that!" So I wrote down things as they came to me, and started doing a little research to expand on the things I was writing down.



My sister had my nephew about a few months ago, and she passed on my handwritten notes to a friend of hers, who found them useful as well. I figured that a lot more expecting mothers will find the information useful, so I sat down and cr
