Do not over-charge and over-discharge. Always ensure the battery is on a non-flammable surface. If corrosion, heat generation or other abnormalities with new Nickel Cadmium batteries are detected, stop using them immediately. If the Nickel Cadmium battery terminals become dirty, clean them with a soft, dry cloth prior to use. Dirt on the terminals can result in poor contact with the equipment, loss of power or inability to charge.
