Description
- Precision Ground O1 Tool Steel, Oil-Hardening
- Dimensions: 1/8” thick x 1.5” wide, 12" length
- Excellent edge retention and wear resistance
- Popular for custom knives, punches, dies, and general tooling
O1 is an oil quenching steel, with an alloy of 1.0% carbon, 1.25% manganese, 0.5% chromium, 0.5% silicon, 0.5% tungsten, and trace amounts of phosphorus and sulphur. This steel is annealed and precision ground. The end is painted red for identification purposes in our shop.
