While many grits (coarsely ground corn) have the germ removed from the kernel, Old School keeps the germ in for better flavor and nutrition. Plus, these grits are made from only the most select white corn, harvested locally in North Carolina. The corn is slowly ground on antique millstones, then sifted to perfection, retaining all of the natural corn oils to produce a rich corn flavor, exactly as it would have tasted generations ago.
