Castile artisan soap was made long before we had to worry about product additives. The original recipe for castile soap can be traced back to the 11th century. Unlike many commercially made soaps that call themselves Castile, we follow the original formula. True castile soap is made from olive oil, not a blend of less expensive oils like coconut and palm. We use the same 100% natural, pure formula that has been used for centuries. You will not find artificial coloring, synthetic perfume or chemicals you cannot pronounce in our soap. Just saponifed certified organic extra virgin olive oil, and water. The natural glycerin is retained in the soap, leaving your skin soft. Our customers tell us it is the gentlest soap they have ever used. Our products are not tested on animals and they do not contain animal products.
