The baby placemat has a strong suction plate underneath, making it hard to pick up for even the strongest toddlers or kids. The placemat is designed to make eating fun again and we have several success stories about that. The plate mat has 3 divided bowls giving you the option to separate the food into different bowls without creating any more dishes. We all need those little time savers in our life. If the placemat is dirty, you could either just rinse it with some water or put it in the dishwasher. You can heat food straight at the plate, either in the microwave or in the oven. If your toddler didn't eat all the food and there are leftovers, you can store that directly on the plate in the fridge.
To create maximum suction:
Place the suction plate at a flat surface that's, preferably but not a must, larger than the placemat (10.6x10.6 in).
Kids are smart sometimes and if they manage to slide the plate across the edge of the table it might lose some suction. If this happens, we would recommend creating a small edge at the table that would prevent this. That should solve the problem since the placemat plate is very hard to lift straight up.
