2. Run your Cat 5e or Cat-6 Ethernet cable up to 328 feet to the second MMF-RJ45 combiner/splitter
3. Plug each pigtail into the RJ45 on 2 separate devices (Use a coupler to extend the line if necessary)

  • Cable Rating: Cat 6
  • Max Speed Rating: 100Mb
  • 25 watts per circuit if CAT-6 is used
  • Uses two switch ports for one MMF-RJ45 combiner
  • Only 10/100 is supported over 2 pairs according to Ethernet standards

    Specifications for uPoE use

  • Use with an active PoE injector like AT-4 or AT-8 to provide up to 60 watts of power (Cisco devices negotiate on both Mode A and Mode B)
  • Combines two 802.3at ports into one uPoE port
  • Max Speed Rating: 100Mb in uPoE usage
  • Requires two ports on the PoE side of the AT-4 device
  • No splitter required at the remote device

Follow these steps for uPoE application:
    1. Run one data cable to the female side of one MMF-RJ45 combiner/splitter
    2. Use two LAN ports on the Active PoE injector
    3. Use two PoE ports for the second MMF-RJ45 combiner/splitter
    4. Run your Cat6 Ethernet cable to the uPoE port on your Cisco device

    Important Notes
  • Cisco uPoE devices require auto-negotiation on Mode A and Mode B for application.
