Coconut Shell Granulated Activated Carbon (GAC). This is a premium carbon media to be used in residential or commercial drinking water treatment devices. Coconut Shell carbon usually works better than standard "charcoal" filtering media it also outperforms regular carbon in removing chlorine and Volatile Organic Compounds. Coconut Shell carbon is a great filtering media. It has a high density with balanced porous structure that performs well. Uses absorption to remove contaminants from drinking water.
