As a distributor , I am very proud to carry the RA Bock line of otoscopes, stethoscopes, and other diagnostic tools. IMPORTANT: Our handle is made of chrome plated brass . Additionally, this unit utilizes a variable light intensity rheostat switch , meaning t he rheostat switch delivers an increasing light intensity when rotated. The set also uses a special bright white 3.25 volt Bosch LED lamp which can be powered by 2 standard C sized alkaline batteries or rechargeable C cell batteries (not included) . Unlike other otoscope brands, which use a small screw to hold the heads in place, our handle utilizes a bayonet luer locking mechanism for changing the instrument heads. The luer locking style will never wear out through normal use. The heart of any otoscope is it's lens. While other lesser quality otoscopes have an acrylic lens which scratches easily, our products only use optical quality GLASS lenses which have been specially coated to help resist scratches. O ur lens also easily swings out of the way for foreign body removal or cleaning. Our otoscope contains an insufflator outlet that is made of metal, not plastic. Additionally, the set comes complete with 3 sizes of reusable specula (infant, child , and adult) and comes with a disposable specula attachment that will allow you to use standard disposable specula as well. The attachment can even use the high end brands disposable speculums , which is probably the BEST perk when buying from us . We sell all parts and bulbs at cost on our website, so if someone drops your kit, you can always repair your entire kit for only the cost of the parts.
