Wheel Stands offer you a 16 inch square working platform to accommodate scales a turntable, or to be used as a display block. They are lightweight (12 pounds per stand), yet sturdy and stable. Their textured surface prevents slipping and they won't scratch or dent your car or floor. Race Ramps Wheel Stands were created as a replacement for heavy metal wheel alignment stands or Monkey Grease Plate Stands. The concept is clear, the Slip Plate Stand is used usually with a 2 or 4 post lift system. The vehicle is raised on the lift; the Wheel Stands are positioned under each tire with a turntable on top of each stand. Then the vehicle is lowered onto the stands ready for alignment. Typically alignment turntables are used atop most alignment stands. Race Ramps Wheel Stands are very light and strong. The base is 18 Inches by 18 inches; they have a huge and stable footprint. Using our Patented Race Ramps Technology, these stands are 100% solid core with zero cavities. Every race Ramps products carries this quality, as well. Solid. Though we do not advise it, they can be used on sand. The horizontal surface is reinforced to ensure your new Wheel Stands will last for many years of commercial use. The beauty of our Wheel Stands, is that you can use them for other applications, such as Car Show display. They are unmarking and will not scratch an epoxy coated garage floor. Race Ramps Wheel Stands and Slip-Plate Stands were created when we were approached by Lesley Cooke, president of Tru-Line Laser Alignment. She contacted us with a special request from Toyota for a custom Wheel Stand to go along with our Race Ramps Wheel Stands, they needed a lightweight, portable stand that would work with their portable alignment system to up-fit new cars. We worked with Lesley and turned this custom design around in 30 days from concept to shipping it out the door. We now offer this great design and its many uses to the public.
