- RFID Blocking Sleeves provide electromagnetic defense against data and information scanners, and carry U.S. governments FIPS 201 approval.
- Each sleeve can hold and shield 1 ISO7810 ID-1 form-factor contactless Smart Card; sleeve will not puncture despite repeated use, and is weather and water resistant.
- Up to 10 credit cards and 2 passports can be thus secured.
- Sleeves protect ISO 14443/15693 and EPC Gen 1/Gen 2 contactless smart cards, and RFID tags; all new contactless credit cards and U.S. Passport Cards, and cards with enhanced features, are covered as well.
- Sleeve security will also work for MIFARE and DESFire compatible cards, sQuid cards used in Europe, Military CAC, and New Government P type cards.
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chips in cards enable speedy and contactless data transfer or capture, but they also make those cards vulnerable to identity theft. As increasing numbers of credit cards, licenses, i.d. and transit cards, and passports resort to RFID technology, the data they carry can be electronically snatched away through the material or fabric of the wallet or purse enclosing them.
The interior of RFID sleeves has shielding to render the sleeve-contents opaque to electromagnetic scanners and readers. The exterior is made of Tyvek, which keeps them lightweight, thin, and highly durable.
The dimensions are standard so as to accommodate the majority of credit cards and passports.
Please note that the sleeves will not safeguard the following card-types:
Older "prox" cards, HID 125 khz, including ProxCard II, ISOProx II, DuoProx II, Smart ISOProx II, Smart DuoProxII, ProxCard Plus - Indala FlexISO, FLexCard, FLex Tag.
