Description
- Molybdenum disulfide powder is a dry solid lubricant made from molybdenite (MoS₂), a naturally occurring mineral. It forms a smooth, thin film on metal surfaces and maintains effective lubrication even under extreme pressure, high temperatures, and vacuum conditions, where conventional oils and greases may completely break down.
- ROLUXY 99% Ultra-Pure MoS₂: High-purity molybdenum disulfide minimizes unwanted impurities for smoother layer-to-layer sliding, lower friction, longer-lasting lubrication, and greater stability under high pressure, high temperatures, and vacuum conditions.
- 1.0–1.2 Micron Ultra-Fine Powder: The ultra-fine particles effectively fill microscopic pores and irregularities on friction surfaces, forming a smoother, more uniform, and denser protective lubricating film with a lower coefficient of friction. The particles also adhere closely to metal surfaces and are less likely to detach under high pressure or impact loads.
- Excellent Flowability and Dispersibility: The ultra-fine powder blends smoothly into a wide range of industrial carrier oils and greases with reduced clumping. Its fine particle size also helps improve suspension stability and reduce the risk of settling-related blockages in pipelines and oil passages.
- Important Engine-Use Note: Never add dry molybdenum disulfide powder directly to an engine, as the particles may settle and potentially clog oil passages. A properly formulated MoS₂ engine additive is not simply a mixture of powder and engine oil. Instead, ultra-fine molybdenum disulfide must be thoroughly pre-dispersed in a compatible base oil with an appropriate dispersing system to keep the particles uniformly suspended and circulating with the engine oil. Follow the engine manufacturer’s recommendations and conduct compatibility testing before use.
- Packaged in a double-sealed resealable pouch to help protect the powder and make storage easy after opening. Includes one measuring spoon for convenient handling and small-quantity transfer.
