Reinforced Concrete: Preliminary Design for Architects and Builders

Written primarily for architecture students, the graphics in this text will appeal to architecture students as will the explorations of the theories and behavior. There are unique and easy-to-use graphs for the preliminary design of beams and columns, without having to do computations. Also, there is a good discussion of indeterminate frame behavior, and methods are presented illustrating how one can readily estimate the approximate design moment values. Emphasis has been placed on developing an understanding of the behavior of concrete elements and systems.
