1:48 Scale Metal Diecast - P-51 Mustang - Big Beautiful Doll - Length: 8" Wingspan: 9.5" This P-51 model is single seat and does includes a pilot figure. The model comes attached/screwed to a removable display stand. The main landing gear can be moved to be in the extended or retracted position, however the wheel well covers that are supposed to cover the wheels are not movable and are fixed in the extended position. Moreover, the wheel at the tail is fixed in the extended position. At 1:48 scale this model is unusually large and quite heavy. The upper part of the fuselage and wings are made of metal and the bottom part of the fuselage are made of plastic This is really a "no-play" model or a "display-only" model. It is mostly metal and very heavy. It also has a number of antennas which look great but are very fragile. If you have small kids that like to play with your models, save yourself some frustration (and money) and wait till later to get a model like this one. The box is labeled as not suitable for children under 14. The package measures 11" x 11" x 6"
