The Rockit is a high-quality dongle form-factor headphone/microphone splitter which allows the user to receive stereo headphone output from one jack, while inputting a mono microphone to the other jack. This allows you to do the following (and more):

You can use older gaming headsets (the ones that have two plugs) with modern combo jacks like those in smartphones;

You can plug a lavalier or other mono mic into the input while running headphone output out of the other jack. In basic terms, the splitter separates the headphone channels from the microphone channel, so that the user can mix and match different headsets and mics. It's great for extending the usefulness of your smartphone!
