Power & Driver System: Rated at 750-Watt RMS, 1,500-Watt program and 3,000-Watt peak, the RBG18FA uses an 18" woofer with a 4" high-temperature, 4-layer voice coil and a massive 130oz magnet for deep, controlled lows. Frequency response is 25Hz-120Hz (+/-3dB) with maximum SPL up to 135dB peak / 129dB continuous, delivering chest-thumping sub-bass for modern PA rigs in clubs, venues and mobile sound reinforcement.
Controls, Crossover & Protection: Dial in your system with a variable low-pass subwoofer crossover (50Hz-250Hz), level and phase controls, plus balanced high-pass XLR preamp outputs at 120Hz for feeding tops. Built-in limiter, over-excursion, thermal and clipping protection with status LEDs safeguard performance, while a passive heat sink and auto turn-on variable-speed fan maintain cool, reliable operation under demanding shows.
Flexible I/O & Integration: Balanced combo XLR/1/4" TRS inputs accept mixers and processors; parallel XLR thru/output jacks simplify daisy-chaining additional subs or sending the signal onward. A ground-lift switch helps tame ground-loop hum. The Rockville RBG18FA folded horn subwoofer will blow you away. Please do not let the price point of this item fool you. Our goal was to manufacture a crazy loud and great sounding subwoofer. We started by testing subs by other brands that were retailing between the prices of $699 and $1999. One of our favorite subs was an old Mackie model called the SWA1501Z AND SWA1801Z. We loved the folded horn technology. The sub sounded great, packed a huge punch, and sounded as good as subs that cost twice the price. So our engineers decided on creating our sub with folded horn technology as well. When we were done manufacturing this thing, I was so blown away when I heard it. I do not believe there is a sub sounding this loud and this good even at triple our price. This sub should sell for $1199 or more.
