【Root Claw Katana】 A hand forged, full tang Japanese katana on a 28.3-inch 1095 High Carbon Steel blade, balanced for a two-handed grip at 42.5 inches overall.
【Clay-Tempered Visible Hamon】 The blade is clay-tempered to bring out a genuine visible wavy hamon, then finished for dojo practice. A bo-hi groove runs down each side.
【Root Claw Tsuba & Rayskin Handle】 A round black iron openwork tsuba pierced with radiating root-and-branch (root claw) spokes; the wood handle is set over white rayskin (samegawa), wrapped in black cotton ito with gold menuki and a brass habaki.
【Specs & Appraisal Document】 Full tang secured with bamboo mekugi; blade 28.3 in, handle 10.8 in, overall 42.5 in. The blade rests in a black lacquered saya with a horn koiguchi, and an appraisal document is included.
【What's in the Box】 You receive the katana, its black saya (scabbard), a protective sword bag, a packaging tube, and an appraisal document; a display stand is not included.
