Some time ago I played roulette with friends and family at a casino in Las Vegas. Because I was working as a software developer and dealt with numbers on a daily basis, picking random numbers while playing roulette seemed pretty silly to me. Once I got home, I studied the game and studied and studied.. For the next several months all I could think of - was developing a winning strategy, the one that would beat the house. Day and night I was developing and trying different strategies. I went to casinos and played online, played computer roulette and live roulette. I have tried every possible strategy you could think of.
This book is about the WINNING strategies, the ones that can actually make you some money. Letâ€™s take for example betting on red or black numbers. Letâ€™s say we bet $5 on black and another $5 on red and bet like that 15 times in a row. Suppose, we had no zeros and had 5 red and 10 black hits. How much money will we have at the end? Answer: Same amount as we started with. Even so black numbers had twice as many hits, our total will be same as at the beginning of the game because we betted on both colors: red AND black, not winning and winning colors. Now, imaging we bet this time on black as before but AVOID betting on red when it doesnâ€™t hit red. What we get is â€“ you get paid on black hits and on red hits â€“ not bad, right? Basically, you avoid not favorable bets and bet only when it is favorable to you. But how make it more or less possible?
