Opposed to the original the mark II offers an increase starting RPM, which is now 2,500 compared to the original lhr15's 2,000. Also, it can now reach a high RPM of 5,300 as opposed to the original which could only reach a high of 5,000. The LHR 15 mark II has a shorter Orbit than the Orbit of the LHR 21Es, which makes it an ideal choice for working in contoured areas and narrow surfaces, making it a favorite of detailers everywhere. The LHR 15 mark II has less cutting capacity than its "Big brother" but does offer a higher RPM level. The medium sized pad (150mm or 6"), perfect balance and amazing lack of vibration make the LHR 15 mark II a "must-have" for every detailer.
