SafeGuard Canine Dewormer SafeGuard Canine Dewormer is formulated for the treatment and control of Tapeworms, Roundworms, Hookworms, and Whipworms. It is safe for dogs of all breeds and over the age of 6 weeks. It has no known drug interactions, so it should be compatible with other medications your dog may be taking. SafeGuard is easy to administer. When mixed in food, dogs usually eat it without fuss, which helps to ensure that they receive a complete and proper dosing. Features: For dogs of all breeds, over 6 weeks of age Also great for pregnant or older dogs Treats and controls worms Administered less often Proven safe Mixes in food for ease of application Available in three sizes for precise dosing Item Specifications: Sizes: 1 gram: Contains 3 pouches, 1 gram each 2 grams: Contains 3 pouches, 2 grams each 4 grams: Contains 3 pouches, 4 grams each Active Ingredient: Fenbendazole Granules 22.2% (222 mg/g) Directions: The daily dose for SafeGuard is 50mg/kg (22.7 mg/lb) of body weight. You should weight your dog to make sure you are using the right dose; i.e. correct gram amount and appropriate number of pouches. Your dog must be treated with the folling does for 3 days in a row. Dog Weight (lbs): Pouch Size (Daily Dose) 10lbs: 1 gram 11-20lbs: 2 gram 21-30lbs: 1 gram + 2 gram 31-40lbs: 4 gram 41-50lbs: 1 gram + 4 gram 51-60lbs: 2 gram + 4 gram 61-80lbs: Two 4 gram Over 80lbs: Combine pouches to obtain recommended daily dosage Mix daily dose with small amount of usual food. Make sure your dog eats all the medicated food. You may need to moisten dry food to aid mixing. Repeat the dose for 3 days in a row.
