Seven and the Ragged Tiger

The third studio album from British pop rock band Duran Duran, Seven and the Ragged Tiger (1983) features the band's original line up displaying their trademark catchy pop rock, heavy on big hooks and 80's synth. Showcasing the high flying hits, 'The Reflex,' 'New moon on Monday' and, 'Union of the Snake,' Seven and the Ragged Tiger also features a more reflective, longing quality, evidence of the band's struggles with worldwide fame. Lead singer Simon Le Bon's lyrics and performance on, 'The Seventh Stranger' personifies this introspective, morose character. This would be the last time Duran Duran's original line-up recorded together for over 20 years, until the release of 2004's Astronaut.
