Extend an audio signal from a 3.5mm or RCA port to your speakers up to 2000ft away. Built-in switching technology allows for up to two inputs and two outputs, meaning you can connect two audio sources and switch between them to one of two different sets of speakers. The Sound-Link also works to convert 3.5mm to RCA or the other way around. The connection type does not even need to be the same, it simply works all the time.

Does the Type of Cat5e or Cat6 Cable You Use Matter?
Since Cat5e/Cat6 extenders (aka Baluns) work differently than typical ethernet networks, the quality of the network cable you use really does matter. The bottom line is that Ethernet networks have corrective measures in place to help balance the data load and prevent packet loss, while point-to-point extenders like this don't have this option.
