Best of Shamrocks & Shenanigans

Propelled by the phenomenal success of the massive crossover hit "Jump Around," House Of Pain's self-titled 1992 debut album put these white Irish-American hip-hoppers at the forefront of the rap scene. Assembled by Erik Schrody - a/k/a Everlast, an alumni of Ice-T's Rhyme Syndicate Cartel - the powerhouse L.A.-based trio also included Danny Boy and DJ Lethal. The groundbreaking group delivered two more albums before disbanding. Everlast then picked up his solo career (which had begun prior to House Of Pain with 1990's brazen Ice-T/Benny Medina-produced Forever Everlasting) and went on to release the 1998 Top 10 album Whitey Ford Sings The Blues. Jumping from B-boy rap to acoustic guitar, the brilliant disc featured the hits "What It's Like" and "Ends." Two years later, 2000's Eat At Whitey's continued Everlast's artistic evolution into a genredefying troubadour who continues to challenge and surprise.
