- SHILOH FARMS Coarse Wheat Bran is an easy and convenient way of adding important dietary fiber (approximately 80% insoluble and 20% soluble) to your diet. Packed with nutrition, it is also a good source of protein, iron, and B Vitamins.
- The multilayered outer coating of the whole wheat kernel, our bran has not been heated, steamed, cooked, or altered in any way. It is a byproduct of the milling process used to transform wheat into flour; as such, it is also frequently called Miller's Bran.
- Soaking bran in warm water overnight at room temperature helps to deactivate phytates in the bran that may hinder absorption of minerals in the digestive tract.
