Description

  • Shurtape HP-500 Heavy-Duty Grade Packaging Tape is a premium-grade biaxially oriented polypropylene film (BOPP) packaging tape. It features one strip sealing and is extremely tough for the most demanding manual or automatic packaging applications. It has a superior pressure sensitive rubber adhesive which offers excellent quick grab with aggressive holding power for dependable carton closure. Shurtape HP 500 is ideally suited for heavy, bulky, carton sealing in high stress applications.
  • Features include: aggressive quick stick, an instant permanent bond to a wide range of substrates and surfaces, special release coating for consistent, low force unwind off the roll and performs reliably to the core for efficient tape consumption. Used for packaging, bundling, repairing cartons, and for paper and film bags. Adheres well to corrugated cartons, paper, film and a variety of other substrates. Manufactured in the U.S.
  • Tape rolls are typically cut to standard tape industry metric-cut sizes - or approx 5% narrower than the nominal size (i.e. 24mm per 1-inch of nominal width ordered).
  • Adhesive: synthetic rubber resin. Carrier/Backing: 50 micron biaxially-oriented, cast polypropylene (BOPP) film. Thickness: 3 mils (carrier, adhesive). Adhesion: 58 ounces per inch (to stainless steel test panel). Adhesion to Backing: 6 ounces per inch. Tensile Strength: 42 pounds per inch (longitudinal) 74 pounds per inch (transverse)
  • Service/Operating Temperature: -20°F to 150°F. Application Temperature: 35°F to 110°F. Elongation: 150%. Holding Power to Fiberboard: 30,000+ minutes.
