Deluxe two CD edition includes a bonus 12 track CD. Released in 1999, Simple Pleasure was Tindersticks' fourth studio album. Showing a different side of themselves, Simple Pleasure was much deeper, more fragile. This album is quite different from the previous ones released, but once the first notes from 'Can't we start again?' hit your ears you will l find yourself mesmerized. But be warned: Simple Pleasures is not as 'simple' as the title suggests. Listening to the lyrics you'll find that in essence Tindersticks (especially Stuart Staples) will never stray far from dark cynicism.
