- Made of one solid piece of ultra inert sanded American Poplar Wood, a step above food grade especially for those who are sensitive.
- Dimensions:are 12" tall, diameter 1 1/2" to 1 2/3". Great for mason jars, bowls, and small crocks
- Poplar trees are fast growing and hardy making them a very renewable resource.
- Unlike others we use only solid American wood so there is no worry about fumigation during import or delamination.
The small Wooden Cabbage Tampers measure 12 to 13 inches long, by 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Of course, all measurements are approximate and will vary slightly. The 12 inch length is adequate for you to have good reach in small crocks & into most jars. We take pride that our sauerkraut stomper is hand crafted in the USA by an artisan craftsman not in a production shop, Unlike others we use only solid American wood so there is no worry about fumigation during import or delamination parts getting in your food. These Sauerkraut Tampers giving you a good pack, and get your fermentation off to a good start. The tampers are not finished with any oil.
