Highly detailed 1:48 scale desktop model of the P-40 Warhawk. Model features the authentic "Flying Tigers" markings, complete with a shark's mouth painted on its nose replicating one of the most distinctive fighters of WWII. This aircraft was flown by The 1st American Volunteer Group (AVG) of the Chinese Air Force in 1941-1942, and was composed of pilots from the United States Army (USAAF), Navy (USN), and Marine Corps (USMC), recruited under presidential sanction. Model includes display stand and educational collector's card. Officially licensed model in collaboration with the curators of the Smithsonian Institution. Measures 7.5 inches long with 9 inch wingspan.
