It's great to do it immediately after you purchase your shoes or sneakers (the product also features a stain fighter), however if you clean your sneakers or shoes, then you can follow it up with The Higher Power. Test in a small inconspicuous area before doing the entire surface to make sure it does not affect the dye in the material. Spray 4-5 inches away from fabric using gentle overlaying sweeping motions. Do not saturate the material; less is more. Spray evenly over entire surface and a little extra on seams. Allow to dry for 10-15 minutes between coats. Do not use on leather.
