- The Sony PXW-FX9 XDCAM 6K Full-Frame Camera System is a versatile and powerful 4K interchangeable lens camera system that’s perfect for a variety of productions, including documentaries, events, reality TV, educational, and corporate projects. It boasts a full-frame, oversampled 6K Exmor R CMOS sensor, enabling you to capture 4K images with a cinematic depth of field. The camera’s E-mount, crafted from stainless steel, is compatible with E-mount lenses.
- The PXW-FX9 comes equipped with a variety of input and output features. It boasts 12G/6G-SDI and HDMI outputs for 4K video, along with a 3G-SDI output for HD. For multicamera setups, it provides genlock and timecode. The camera’s Fast Hybrid AF autofocus system ensures precise focus and even includes facial detection that can automatically identify human forms with 561 points of detection. Furthermore, the PXW-FX9 has an advanced image stabilization system.
- The camera is equipped with a 4-channel audio recording feature that enables the simultaneous use of external microphones and the recording of ambient sound with the built-in microphones. It boasts a dynamic range of 15 stops and supports dynamic HDR and hybrid log gamma mode (HLG). The camera also has the capability to record 10-bit 4:2:2 footage to dual XQD media card slots. These slots support simultaneous and relay recording as well as a variety of backup recording modes.
