Description

  • Complete Power Steering Upgrade: Converts 1958–1964 Compatible with Chevy full-size cars to power steering with new 500 Series steering box, centerlink, pitman arm, and idler arm for modern performance.
  • High-Performance 14:1 Ratio Steering Box: Provides improved directional control, quicker response, and a more stable on-road feel compared to stock manual steering.
  • Direct Bolt-On Installation: Designed as a simple bolt-in replacement for manual steering; no external brackets or shims required for most applications.
  • Durable, Smooth Operation: Features a recirculating ball gear design with open-centered rotary valve for low friction, precise steering, and excellent road feedback.
  • Fits Full-Size Compatible with Chevy Models: Compatible with 1958–1964 Compatible with Chevy Impala, Bel Air, and Biscayne; 1958–60 cars require idler arm adapter (PN 910-32582) for proper fitment.

You get a new 500 series power steering box, new centerlink, new pitman and idler arm.  Power steering pump, power steering hoses, and pulleys are sold separately.  1958-'60 cars need to order the 910-32582 idler arm adapter. Steering box uses inverted flare fittings, 11/16" fine on the pressure side and 5/8" fine thread on the return side. Has a 3/4" 30-spline input shaft. Note:  Some applications require slight modification to the radiator tank to clear the steering box.  The steering box provided in this kit is a 'bolt-in' application.  Connecting the steering column to the steering box will require fabrication and the use of u-joints, rag joints, and steering shaft per the installers build choice.   1958-1964 Fits Chevy Power Steering Conversion Installation Instructions
