Standards for Professional Learning

The third revision since 1995, the standards define the essential elements of and conditions for professional learning if improvements in educator effectiveness and student learning are to be realized.As with past versions, the latest standards represent the work of many organizations and associations. In developing this version, Learning Forward and its partners examined the latest research and practice in professional learning to create a template for professional learning. Everyone who funds, plans, facilitates, participates in, and advocates for effective professional learning should engage in reading and discussion of the standards.
