All of our crocks come with weights which are manufactured to fit this specific size of crock. This crock now comes with our new exclusive non-porous Luna Glass Crock Weights. The correct size of weight is essential in keeping the contents fully submerged in order to properly ferment. We also include a recipe for both pickles and sauerkraut with each crock we ship!

The 5L crock is great for those who are just getting started and want to experiment a little without spending too much. The smaller size is also ideal for those with small kitchens as it doesn't take up as much space. Our crocks are made in Poland by Boleslawiec Pottery Works, a cooperative with many artists that work under it, either in factories or smaller studios. Each crock is handmade, resulting in an unique, natural product. Slight variation in finish and minor imperfections are inherent to the artisan production process. However, we hand inspect each crock before shipping to ensure that they meet our high standards.
