- Keeps humidity levels high in crabitat --- Hermit crabs are particularly sensitive to changes in humidity levels and must have proper humidity to survive. The product distributes humidity making their crabitat moist. Hermit crabs breathe through their gills and they need a sponge laden with water to keep them moist.
